The Outdoor Room
The concept of the ‘outdoor room’ planted itself in Australian backyards over the past few summers and has since taken off faster than the “open living” concept that become the “norm” several years ago in our interiors. Fuelled by countless TV home renovation shows, endless beer garden renovations in our pubs and a growing interest in landscape architecture and design, Australians embraced the concept of the “extended room” and opened back doors to patios, pools and pergolas, creating defined outdoor spaces in which to amuse, feast and unwind.
